EV Charging
If you’re after a greener and cost effective way to travel, we’re here to help.
We install electric vehicle charging points for both domestic and commercial clients. The options range from single domestic wall-mounted charging points, to large scale electric hubs where multiple vehicles can park up to charge.
There are three main types of electric vehicle charging – rapid, fast and slow. These represent the power outputs and charging speeds available to charge a vehicle. The most common public charging point found in the UK is a 7 kW inlet, which is a ‘fast’ charger.
In order to install a domestic charge point, it’s preferable to have a 100A fuse. This allows the load of the charge point. If you have a 60A main fuse, it is advised to upgrade your supply to 100A, these works are carried out by your electricity power network (DNO).
We can help you to decide the best place to install your charge point. Once your charging point installation is complete, we provide a a full demonstration on how to use it.
Approved electricians
Our skilled electricians are all fully qualified and we are NICEIC approved. This means our work is completed by registered contractors and meets required safety regulations.
We are also approved with the Government’s Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV) , which states that our installs are eligible for the Workplace Charging Scheme and the Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme. This equates to £350 off the cost of purchasing and installing a charging point for our customers. You can find out more about this scheme here.
